Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to Kimpton Primary School. I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful school. Our children are truly our greatest asset, and every day I am inspired by their enthusiasm, curiosity and kindness. The staff here are dedicated professionals who create a warm, welcoming and positive environment, making Kimpton a special place to learn and grow.
Our recent Ofsted report recognised that Kimpton is a happy, safe and nurturing school at the heart of our community. We hold high expectations for all our pupils, while also providing the care and support they need to feel confident, valued and secure.
I am particularly proud that our Early Years provision was judged to be strong, with staff who understand children’s needs deeply and provide rich, engaging learning experiences. Our work on attendance and behaviour was also recognised as strong, demonstrating the positive and respectful culture we foster. The safeguarding standards were fully met, reflecting an open culture where everyone takes responsibility for keeping our pupils safe. Inspectors praised our stable leadership and governance, which provide clear direction and ensure ongoing improvement. The report highlights our school as a small, friendly, and welcoming place where pupils behave respectfully, support each other and thrive in a calm, purposeful environment.
At Kimpton, we are committed to delivering a broad and meaningful curriculum that inspires a love of learning and prepares children for their next steps. We place great value on outdoor learning, life skills, and community involvement as essential parts of our approach.
