Volunteers
As a village school, we welcome parents and other members of the community who are willing to donate their time to work with our amazing children. It really does make a difference!
For volunteers who are able to offer a regular time in school, you will need to complete an enhanced DBS check (the cost will be covered by the school).
If you wish to get involved, please contact Mr J Ferguson (Headteacher) via admin@kimpton.herts.sch.uk
Or think about lending your time and skills to the PTA - find out more on their separate page
Readers
We would appreciate between 30 minutes and 1 hour of your time weekly. You would sit with one child at a time and listen to them read. We provide training on how to support children with reading and how to record the session in their reading record. There is no limit to the number of volunteers we can accommodate.

Class Representatives
Our wonderful class representatives are the class teacher's first point of call when needing to ask a question and vice versa. They also do an amazing job of organising the class cake sales and the class then decide how the money raised is spent on their classroom.

Parent Focus Group
One of the many ways that our school keeps open the lines of communication with the parent body is through our termly parent focus group meeting.
Focus Group meetings are held with the headteacher. It's a really useful way of passing on information and building links between parents and teachers whilst communicating positives and also possible improvements to our school. If a vacancy is available in your year group please consider joining our friendly team. Emily Shaw has taken on the role of leading the Parent Focus Group, so any questions about the role or responsibilities plus time commitments, please do speak to her.
After the meeting, each representative feeds back to individual cohorts about items raised; any whole school points will be communicated through the school newsletter.
